TBR

So, first on my list, I want to finish Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine.  I started this book, and was really enjoying it, but I got busy and haven’t had a whole lot of time to read lately, so I’d really love to finish this one!

Next, I’d really love to read Skipping Christmas by John Grisham.  I love the movie, Christmas with the Kranks, and so I’d love to read the book that inspired the movie.

Then, I hope to read The Christmas Blessing by Melody Carlson.  I received this book for review from NetGalley, and Melody Carlson always writes such great Christmas stories, so I’m sure this one will be great, too!

Thanksgiving Traditions

I love Thanksgiving!  My family has so many cozy Thanksgiving traditions that I look forward to every year, so I thought I’d share my Thanksgiving day with you all! 🙂

First, every Thanksgiving morning I wake up and watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  I still live with my parents, so I don’t actually have to go anywhere on Thanksgiving, which is kind of nice.  My sister comes over and brings breakfast, and we all eat breakfast and watch the parade, and get everything ready for Thanksgiving dinner.  Then, after the parade, the turkey is usually ready, and my entire family and I gather around and eat Thanksgiving dinner.  My favorite dish, aside from the turkey, is my mom’s yam casserole and the stuffing/dressing!

After dinner, we are all lazy, lol, and relax!

Then, in the evening, for dinner, we make room for more food!  😜

We always get in our jammies, watch Home Alone, make turkey sandwiches, and eat all the leftovers.

My family’s Thanksgiving is simple, but so special to all of us. 💕

I love the spirit of the season in your TBR! That’s so much fun. I love reading holiday themed books in November and December. I hope this gives you a good start to your holiday season.

I love your traditions! I haven’t seen Home Alone in *years*~ I really should watch it. I imagine my adult brain would interpret it differently. O_o

Good luck with your readathon participation, Theresa! I am wishing you all the best.
